WHALE HOP — PRIVACY POLICY
Effective 2026-08-24
Short version: nothing about you is collected, because there is nothing here that could.
The app
The "Whale Hop" developer app posts devlog videos to the developer's own social media accounts. It collects no personal data from any third party. The only data it holds are the developer's own access tokens, stored locally on the developer's machine and revocable from the connected platform at any time. No analytics, no tracking, no databases, no sharing.
YouTube API Services
The developer app ("Whale Hop Devlog Uploader") uses YouTube API Services to upload the developer's own devlog videos to the developer's own YouTube channel. By using it, the developer (its only user) also agrees to the YouTube Terms of Service; the Google Privacy Policy applies to Google's handling of that data.
What it accesses and stores: the app accesses only the authorized account's own channel, and only to upload videos and set their titles, descriptions and publish times. The only data it stores are the developer's OAuth tokens, kept locally on the developer's machine and never shared with anyone. It does not read, collect, store or share any other YouTube data, from any user, and it uses no data for advertising, analytics or model training.
Retention, deletion and revocation: stored tokens can be deleted at any time by removing the local credentials file, and the app's access can be revoked at any time from Google security settings. Revoking access or deleting the tokens removes everything the app ever held. Questions or deletion requests: the links on whalehop.net.
The site and the game
whalehop.net is a static page and the game runs entirely in your browser. Neither sets tracking cookies nor sends your data anywhere; the game's saves live in your browser's own local storage and never leave your machine.
